Early reviews for the performance of Infinity Kappa Perfect 12 VQ have not been very favorable with comparisons being drawn to entry level subwoofers by other manufacturers like Alpine. Especially, the bass sound just doesn't seem satisfactory at all. The Infinity Kappa Perfect 12 VQ apparently does not work well as a stand alone unit and needs a sub system to pack that much needed punch.
The low performance of the Infinity Kappa Perfect 12 VQ woofer system could also be due to the irregular acoustics of different vehicles. These can be installed easily enough in the stock soundbar. The package comes with an adapter plate and there is no need of any modifications to the device to fit it in. There is a lot of high pitch accentuation even with a single tweet. The general verdict seems to be against buying the product except if you are a rock fan and do not listen much to songs with other beats like bass. If you've already a bought a pair then you can improve the experience with the use of high pass filters. For a product not much appreciated by the public, even the customer care is lacking in support.
