Pioneer TS-SW301

The Pioneer TS-SW301 has really been made using pioneering technology. It is the new product in their shallow subwoofers series range that are only 3.25 inches deep! This technology moves away from the spider-coil design that is prone to wear and tear and hence negative impact on performance with the passage of time. The air-suspension system is a patented technology by Pioneer that locks the air between the drive and the main cone resulting in the cones moving together and the air acting as a spring. Sound linearity is well maintained over a longer period of time in spite of heavy use. The locked air also results in maintaining good bass performance and reducing noise.
Power handling and efficiency is also improved due to another innovative design approach to the radial interwoven layer that is made of reinforces radial urethane cloth, reducing distortion, delivering a controlled bass rhythm. Puckering is taken care of even under heavy duty power usage.

Another area where the design of the Pioneer TS-SW301 departs from the traditional is the surrounds. This a patented Pioneer design with M-shape surrounds instead of the one arch shaped surrounds, imparting better sound linearity. In addition, this surround has low tuning frequency as well as low height.
The list of patented/patent pending technologies employed in making the Pioneer TS-SW301 subwoofer goes on with the usage of Angled Push Terminals. These avoid the bending and forcing of wires to adjust them to plug and play, reducing impedance and saving power. The Angled Push Terminals in the Pioneer TS-SW301 subwoofers allow for straight lined connections resulting in easier installations.
Recommended strongly for people with single cab trucks and similar autos. The sound volume and frequency is impressive! A very good buy at the price.
