The Pioneer TS-W257D4 subwoofer is the D4 - Dual 4 Ohm, version of the Pioneer TS-W257D2, the dual 2 ohm version subwoofer available from Pioneer.
It features an aramid fiber cone, a radical surround with wide 3 layer, spring compression terminals with single sides, covered dual mass magnets and of course, as the title suggests, dual 4 ohm voice coils. Power maxes out at 1000 watts which is a good feature. The motor assembly is composed of dual mass magnets as most Pioneer products are. The 3 layers surround radial reduces noise production and increases sound linearity while the dual coil ensures a blasting bass sound.
The patented IMPP cone made of the dual magnet mount is very light weight and rigid and is enhanced by the aramid fiber combination. The sounds produced are incredibly accurate due to the powerful magnetic fields. The spring compression ensures that wires don't come loose due to excessive vibrations.

On a scale of 10 this product would get 9 out of 10 marks for the clean sound. The Pioneer TS-W257D4 subwoofer kicks and how? It is a solid subwoofer that does all the right things when it comes to hitting hard. Due to the main trims being glued to the speakers, there is skepticism regarding the durability. But the glue and the technology used here is a new and patented one that departs away from the traditional subwoofer and speaker systems that have accessories/parts glued on to them. If you are still skeptical, you might consider screwing the system onto the box to ensure that the trims do not vibrate away from the subs. Apart from that, here is to a clean and great subwoofer system that will rock your ride hard!
